Amy is a full spectrum doula and body based trauma treatment specialist, offering reproductive consultation and support from conception throughout the primal continuum. “The Primal Continuum” refers to the time from conception to age three. It marks an integral time in an infant’s and child’s earliest development. Amy’s work informed by attachment theory and delivered through a trauma sensitive lens focusing on parallel personal agency within a safe relationship. Amy centres the birthing person and emphasizes choice making, present moment awareness, taking effective action, deep listening and attunement.
Amy is committed to queer reproductive justice and supports all birthing peoples human rights to not have children using safe birth control, abortion or abstinence, to have children under the conditions they choose and to parent children in safe and healthy environment. Amy identifies as queer and uses pronouns she/they and is a white second generation Canadian born to Irish immigrants. Amy lives in works in Toronto (also known as Tkaronto) on the treaty lands and territory of the Mississaugas of the credit and the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe the wendat and the haudenosaunee.
